Paul’s areas of relevant specialisation include:
- enforcement of intellectual property rights;
- providing anti-counterfeiting and border protection services; and
- intellectual property related licensing.
Paul has practised both in Australia and the United Kingdom in a range of intellectual property matters. He has provided advice on cross-border IP litigation, IP corporate and commercial matters, including consultancy, R&D, technology transfer and licence agreements for a number of listed entities.
Paul has been a Senior Partner in a national IP law firm, and has also been an associate to an appellant court judge.

Claire Ramsay
Principal
Claire has over 10 years’ experience as a specialist intellectual property lawyer, with experience across all aspects of intellectual property (IP) law disputes and transactions. Praised for being highly responsive with great attention to detail, she represents clients from a broad range of industries including biotechnology, computer software, oil & gas and engineering.
Claire has extensive litigation experience, particularly in patent oppositions and litigation in the Australian Patent Office and Federal Court of Australia. She regularly acts on anti-counterfeiting and border protection matters, as well as matters involving allegations of trade mark, copyright and design infringement, misleading and deceptive conduct, passing off, breach of contract and breach confidential information. Claire’s practice also includes trade mark filing and prosecution.
Claire has commercial transaction experience, assisting clients with the negotiation and preparation of agreements related to IP transactions, such as confidentiality agreements, IP assignments and licences.
With qualifications in both science and law, Claire’s legal experience before joining Mallon & Co. Lawyers included working in Perth and Melbourne for national IP firms, and as an Associate to the Honorable Justice Susan Crennan in both the Federal Court and High Courts of Australia. Claire has a Masters of Intellectual Property Law from Melbourne University.
